The Rule of the Damned

Monsters are real, we’re the stories your parents told you about to scare you, and they were right. But, we do prefer to live in the shadows where we are happiest and can ochestrate some of the biggest events the world has ever seen. While we may be more powerful, when humans are scared, their fear easily overpowers us. The Salem Witch Trials was our attempt at coming into the light, and well, we all know how that ended. Now, we’ve learned, and we keep our existence and our weaknesses a closely guarded secret. We are four families and we’ve co-existed in an uneasy truce for as long as we can remember, The Druids, the Vampires, the Rogues, and the Sorcerers. Each of us has a specialty, and while we may not like each other, our system works and we each play our part in this arrangement. That was until an heir to one of the families was murdered, and that family wants blood for the heir they’ve lost, now, Chicago is on the brink of a War, and if we can’t solve the murder in time, the humans will be the casualties.
